Caring for FIV and FLV cats
We have adopted many FIV and/or Felv positive cats. Our approach is to give them the best care possible to make them as happy and as comfortable as possible.
FIV & FLV are not death sentences. Working with a vet and with clean space, healthy food and lots of love, these cats can lead quality lives.
Meanwhile, caring for FIv/Felv cats and doing palliative care has given us insights to create cat centric products.
Here are the Gold-D products that will help FIV & Felv cats.

|
Wet Food |
|
Gold-D was FIV+ had begun losing weight. The vet suspected he had cancer. We wanted him to eat more but one particular ingredient was of great concern: carrageenan.
Carrageenan is suspected to cause cancer in cats and FIV and Felv cats are prone to develop cancer. This is an unnecessary risk.
Gold-D wet food is also a complete meal and grain free and free from artificial coluring, flavours and meat by products.
All these are important to cats but even more important to FIV and Felv cats. Find the range of Gold-D wet food here. |
|
Dry food |
|
Gold-D dry food is grain free and contains many extra ingredients beneficial to cats and especially to FIV and Felv cats.
It is grain free and contains salmon oil, Antartic Krill to boost immune system. The cranberry is a source of anti oxidant.
The pre and pro biotics helps digestion and absorption of nutrients. Pro bitoics cannot survive in wet food so dry food is a effective delivery mechanism. Find the range of Gold-D dry food here |

Dinnerware |
|
Rahula was FIV and Felv+ and was eating very little.
We began to notice that he ate more when food is served in plates.
If the plates are wide enough, his whisker does not come into contact and hence more comfortable eating.
We began working on a stoneware dish that prevents bacteria growth, broad enough to prevent his whisker from touching the sides and heavy enough to prevent flipping.
Again while this makes comfortable eating for all cats, it is even more important to a cat who is unwell and uncomfortable.

Supplements: Mushroom Extract |
|
When Ken Ken was at the final stage of FIV, he was very weak, had stroke symptoms and some mobility problem.
When we started giving him mushroom extract, his condition improved and he was stable till he breath his last.
Mushroom extract can boost immune system and help prevent or slow down cancer growth; conditons likely with FIV and Felv cats.

Supplements: Coconut oil, salmon oil |
|
Mandy is Felv+ and had became very weak almost going into coma.
We use the Gold-D coconut oil to promote absorption of nutrients and the Gold-D salmon oil to boost her immune system.
These supplements are added into her food. One in the morning and one in the evening. The salmon can also help to stimulate appetite of
cats who like salmon oil.

Holistic care: Collodial silver |
|
Collodial silver is anti bacteria, virus and fungus. We add the liquid into food to prevent secondary infections.
It is also use on any wounds. Spray on a towel, it becomes a wet wipe to keep the body clean.
Ken Ken and Mandy developed flu like symptions so we diffuise collodial silver into the air to help clear their nose blocks

Homecare - Dishwash |
|
While we cannot prevent cancers, we try to eliminate possible and known risks. That is why we develop the AHA dishwash that is free from chemicals that are know to cause cancer; DEA, Paraben & Dioxane.
These chemicals can possible remain on dishes and consumed by cats when they eat from the dishes.
Again, this is important to all cats but especially critical to FIV and Felv cats. Link to AHA dishwash |

Homecare - Disinfectant |
|
The living spaces of FIV and Felv cats must be very clean to prevent infection.
Most disinfectants in the market are phenol based and cats are unable to break down phenol in their liver.
AHA disinfectant is phenol free to prevent cats from absorbing phenol through their paws as they walk.
This is important for all cats and especially important to FIV and Felv cats who health are more fragile.
